Ivan Toney Next Club Odds: Where Will Toney Sign In The Summer Transfer Window?

If we were to be sitting talking about Ivan Toney in the transfer window just a little while ago, we would have been bragging about a prolific striker who will be commanding a hefty price tag from a top club.

With 20 Premier League goals and four assists in the 2022/23 Premier League season, Toney was well on his way to a move to a top four Premier League side. Even initially on his return, Toney was back in the goals immediately after his ban with four goals in five games, including a goal against Tottenham away and Liverpool.
However, it wasn’t to last throughout the whole season with the Englishman playing the final 13 games without a single goal, really wounding his chance of being picked up by a top club.
Not only that, but there are obvious doubts following his ban for betting, and some potential attitude problems both on-field and off the field. This in itself has apparently resulted in Arsenal cooling their interest and means they will be looking elsewhere for a resolution up front.
With that being said, anyone who is to pick up Toney is picking up a player with the proven ability to score goals in the Premier League, which is not a trait that many have at their disposal.
Ivan Toney Next Club Odds
In the Ivan Toney next club market with BetVictor, the overwhelming favourite to sign the Englishman was any Saudi Pro League team.
As already mentioned, there are some question marks surrounding Toney both revolved around his recent form, and some other aspects of his game and personality which could explain the reluctance of Premier League clubs to make a move for him just yet.
As expected though, with the window drawing on and failure to land other targets, it means the likes of Chelsea could now be intersted in Toney. With a chance to pick him up at a reduced fee with the Bees more desperate to sell as the window comes to a close, the Blues have now entered the race and could quickly become the favourites to sign the 28-year-old.

Any Saudi Club
Considering Toney was targeting a team in and around the top four, challenging for trophies and able to play Champions League football, it's extremely surprising to now see the most likely move for the 28-year-old could be to a Saudi Pro League team instead.
Reportedly, a £35 million bid from Al Ahli was rejected by Brentford, however they will not be ending their pursuit with that opening bid. There are rumours that Al Ahli are willing to offer a subtantial wage per week that could accumulate to €60 million over three years year to attain the services of Toney in this window.
If that is the case, like many players that have made the jump to Saudi Arabia like Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, Riyad Mahrez, and others, it looks admittedly hard to turn down despite his previous intentions to play at the top level of European football.
Toney has rumoured to have accepted the contract proposal to Al Ahli, but the two clubs have yet to reach an agreement on a fee for the Englishman, leaving the deal far from done. With Chelsea now potentially entering into discussions with Brentford, who knows whether Toney would still be wlling to make the move to Saudi Arabia, or if he would be willing to earn less money but stay in the Premier League for a bigger club.
Arsenal
Not too long ago, it was looking extremely likely that Toney would move to the Gunners. Mentioning his love for Arsenal as a youngster on a podcast, even though he supported Liverpool, and the North London side keen for his signature, it looked like a matter of time before a deal would be struck.
However, things seem to have changed and Arsenal aren’t quite as keen as it stands and appear to be looking at other players. Following the ban for betting and some behaviour in games last season, it has resulted in Arteta following up on other avenues for the striker position.
But, if Arsenal were to be unable to pick up any of their main targets and face difficulty in the transfer window, don’t be surprised to see them return with a move for Toney before it is too late, and the odds have already shortened on the Englishman making the move to the Gunners in the last week.
Tottenham
Tottenham were at one point the front runners in the market at 2/1, but with the arrival of Dominic Solanke at Spurs, it now seems very unlikely they'd be willing to fork out quite a similar fee for another striker in one window.
When they required a new striker, Toney looked a perfect fit for Spurs and somebody who would undoubtedly thrive in Ange Postecoglu's system. However, it looks as though they opted for a slightly younger option in Solanke, albeit only by a couple of years.
Manchester United
Manchester United are currently joint second in the odds for Toney, but in this case it would seemingly be the wrong move for both parties. The Red Devils have just completed the signing of Joshua Zirkzee, aged just 23, and will be keeping hold of Rasmus Hojlund who they spent a massive £72 million on just last summer.
This means Toney wouldn’t exactly be walking into the starting lineup and would face stiff competition all season, unlike at other clubs where he would undoubtedly be the main man in the striker position.

Toney Left Out of Brentford Squad For Opening Fixture
As Brentford started their Premier League campaign with a victory, Toney was nowhere to be seen and left out of the squad by Bees boss Thomas Frank. The Brentford manager stated it was because of transfer interest in the Englishman, with the biggest interest now coming from the Saudi League as opposed to a move to a bigger club in the Premier League.
"Various things are going on with Ivan, with transfer rumours and activity. Because of all that full package, we decided not to include him in the squad," Frank said after Brentford's win over Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Frank mentioned how at least one club are interested, but a deal is not particularly close as things stand, with time still to go until the transfer window ends in Saudi Arabia.
"It (a deal) is not close, but we hope it will be. I will always miss Ivan as a person and a player, but in terms of the questions you ask about him, I won't, no," he added.
Chelsea Make Move for Toney
Sky Sports have revealed that Chelsea have now made a move for Toney, just when the Englishman had accepted the offer of Al Ahli in Saudi Arabia on a three-year contract worth €60 million.
The video below offers an explanation about Chelsea's rumoured interest in Toney, and why the London club have decided to pursue the 28-year-old so late in the window.
