Erling Haaland

Norwegian striker Erling Haaland remains the favorite to win the Premier League Golden Boot as per the Supercomputer and for a good reason. The 25-year old Haaland has won that award twice in his three seasons in England and if not for a mid-season injury last year, he might have secured it again. The Supercomputer has Haaland scoring at least 24.3 goals this season and I think that is a conservative estimate given his track record. While Haaland only managed to score 22 goals last season, he has been lethal when he is healthy, scoring 36 and 27 goals in his first and second seasons with City, respectively.

Mohammed Salah

Second on the list is last season’s top scorer Mohammed Salah who found the back of the net 29 times. As per the Supercomputer, Salah is projected to score within the 18-goal range, which is a noticeable drop from his last season tally. The Supercomputer has likely factored his age and Liverpool’s moves this offseason when making this prediction. However, considering Salah’s consistency over the years, there might be a good chance that he could outperform these projections.

Alexander Isak

Frimpong and Ekitike balled out for the Reds in the Community Shield lost to Crystal Palace with a goal apiece. However, what I’m excited about is how the 22-year old Wirtz will control the midfield for the Reds. Wirtz played well versus Palace earlier this month, dishing out an assist.

Arsenal

Arsenal has been on the back of three consecutive bridesmaid finishes and they might end up second again this year. As per the Supercomputer, Arsenal has 24.3% chance to win the title. I’m also intrigued by how Guardiola will use former AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders, whose versatility on the ball could help fill the creative void left by De Bruyne.
