Our FanDuel Review of their Big Welcome Bonus
FanDuel sportsbook ratings are through the roof, and one of the reasons why it has a generous welcome offer for new customers, which gives you $150 in bonus bets if you place your first wager of $5 and it wins. You can then use those bonus bets on multiple bets on your favourite sports, making it a good option for all types of sports fans, and even all types of bettors.
These bonus bets work in a way where the house gets its stake back, and then you’ll get the winnings. You also only have 7 days to place those bonus bets before the bonus ends.
Interested? We’ve gone into detail about the welcome bonus and all other promotions available on FanDuel in our extensive FanDuel sportsbook bonus guide, so check it out. If it suits your bet style, consider trying out that bonus for size yourself.
Occasionally, there are also date or game-specific sign-up promos of a No Sweat First Win Bet up to $200 or perhaps a 100% deposit match, but to claim them, you must wait until the promotion is live again.

Exploring all The FanDuel Sportsbook Features Available
With so many high FanDuel ratings (one of the most popular brands in the United States, after all), it’s only natural that the site offers many of the top features bettors have come to expect from their online betting bookmakers. Here’s a rundown of what FanDuel does and doesn’t have available:
Sportsbook Feature | Does FanDuel Have It? |
---|---|
Welcome Offer | ✅ |
Existing Player Bonuses | ✅ |
VIP Program | ✅ |
Live Streaming | ✅ |
In-Stream Betting | ❌ |
In-Play Betting | ✅ |
Early Cash Out | ✅ |
Fantasy Sports | ✅ |
Bet Builder | ✅ |
Bet Editing | ✅ |
Mobile App | ✅ |
Personalisation | ✅ |
The good news for you sports fans out there is that FanDuel offers almost everything, except the ability to bet on the same page as you watch the streams.
How Does the FanDuel App Hold Up?
FanDuel has apps for both the iOS and Android phones, and you can download both of them from the official app stores (Apple and Google Play Store, respectively). On Apple, the FanDuel sportsbook ranking sit at 4.8 stars and #2 in Sports, and on Google Play, the rating is 4.6 stars and at #3 in free sports.
The app itself has a very attractive dark theme, with all the information intuitively laid out so that it’s easy and simple to find everything you could need, from the sport to the type of bet. The app also refreshes in the background, so you’ll get live odds updating frequently without having to refresh the page.
Users have, however, had issues with the app not being able to recognise their location, which would often lock them out of using the app entirely. The betting slip on the app is also a bit too cluttered, showing all your options at once. You also don’t have access to the streaming service FanDuel TV+, so live streaming is out. If you’re someone who prefers to watch the game on their TV and bet on an app, however, this could be a good fit – so long as you don’t face the location glitch.

What Payment Methods Does FanDuel Accept?
Next up on our FanDuel review is an overview of the payment methods. Naturally, we couldn’t put each payment option to the FanDuel sportsbook test ourselves, so we sourced the information needed from several sources to give you a clear overview on the options, minimum and maximum deposits/withdrawals, as well as how long you can expect the transactions to take place.
One key takeaway that we noticed was the low $10 minimum deposit applied to all payment options, which puts FanDuel up there with many of the other low minimum deposit betting sites we’ve reviewed. As for the rest of the info, we’ve outlined it all in the table below:
Payment Method | Min/Max Deposit | Min/Max Withdrawal | Processing Time Deposits/Withdrawals | Fees for Deposits/Withdrawals |
---|---|---|---|---|
Credit Cards | $10/Variable | $10/n/a | Instant/n/a | Variable |
Debit Cards | $10/Variable | $10/$10,000 | Instant/Up to 48 hours | None |
Prepaid Cards | $10/Variable | $10/$10,000 | Instant/24-30 hours | None |
Bank Transfer | $10/Variable | $10/$10,000 | 3 to 5 Days/ 5 to 7 Days | 0 to 5% |
PayPal | $10/Variable | $10/$10,000 | Instant/24-48 Hours | None |
Venmo | $10/Variable | $10/$10,000 | Instant/Up to 48 Hours | None |
Wire Transfer | $10/Variable | $10/$10,000+ | 3 to 5 Days/5-7 Days | $15+ |
One last thing to keep in mind is that, while you can mix and match deposit and withdrawal methods, you must first use your withdrawal payment method of choice to make at least one deposit.

Our FanDuel Reviews on Their Customer Service
In our FanDuel reviews, we were disappointed to see that there isn’t a live chat feature on the main site itself. There is an entire support section (support.fanduel.com) with a live chat, but we felt this wasn’t intuitive enough for easy use.
Unlike other chatbots, you need to input your name, subject, the product you have an issue with (for example, the sportsbook), and the state you are located in before you can start chatting. This was clunkier than other support chat’s we’ve used, and it also took far longer for their team to respond to us than other bookmaker’s we’ve tested.
Other customer service methods:
- Direct Message on Twitter/X: Send a message to @FanDeul_Support on X.com
- Direct Message on Facebook: Send a message to @fdsportsbook on Facebook.com
- Email them using their email call-back form (12 hour response time)
The brand promises that your messages will be responded to on live chat, Twitter/X.com, or Facebook within an hour. On the plus side, FanDuel support agents are available from 8AM until 12:30 AM, meaning you will have access to support from the morning, through the evening and even at night. In short, there will be someone available when games are active.

FanDuel's Licences and Security Features
FanDuel is fully licensed for use in over a dozen states and holds licences in each of them. The most notable of those states is New Jersey, which was the first state to allow online betting. New Jersey is also known for its strict requirements, ensuring that your betting experience is fair and competitive.
Licensure is just one thing we looked at in this FanDuel review. We also looked into FanDuel’s security features and policy. Right off the bat we noticed the SSL encryption and the two-factor authentication. The KYC verification checks felt very secure, and most importantly, took less than 24 hours.
FanDuel also offers several responsible gaming tools to help you keep your bets in check. You can set limits to how much you deposit, spend, and even the time you spend on the betting site itself.

FanDuel Rating Other Promotions and Loyalty Programs
FanDuel has a robust promotions section. These promos work to boost your betting experience across the board, with some bonuses targeting the entire sportsbook, and others only one specific sport or event at a time. You can see all of their latest offerings and even betting updates on the FanDuel Sportsbook Promos News page. You can then click on the article to read more and then claim the bonus in question.
- Event/Daily Bonus: If there’s a big game on, FanDuel will typically release a special bonus just for the occasion. This boost can only be used on the day it’s valid for, or for the event it’s valid for.
- Boost Builder: Add selections to your accumulator bet to boost Parlay winnings up to 105%. Available on select sports and on select days.
- No Sweat Same Game Parlay: Get your stake back in bonus bets if your stake loses. Available on select games/events.
- Profit Boost: On select events, get a profit boost up to 30%. This means your winnings, not your stake, get boosted a certain amount.
FanDuel’s VIP Program
FanDuel does have a VIP program, but this is strictly an application/invite-only option. You will either need to fill out a form and send it to their customer service team, or you’ll need to be invited onto the program itself. As a VIP member, you will get exclusive benefits including bonuses, increased betting limits, invitations, etc.
How the FanDuel Website Looks, Feels, and Navigates
The website itself feels fresh when you first click on it, but you’ll find you get quickly bogged down by too many pages right up until you log in. This isn’t the worst experience, of course, since the sportsbook and all your features will be unlocked and available to you once you sign in, but it does mean those just wanting to explore the site to see it first-hand are going to struggle.
Thankfully there are extensive support pages, which can be found in the footer of each page, and you can also scroll through the available sports either at the top of the upcoming events, or at the bottom of the sportsbook page. All-in-all, the site is fine and easy to use when you are logged in, but expect to struggle until you make that leap. Once logged in, you benefit from:
- Easy search tool function
- Robust Research section with articles, FAQs and guides
- Fold-away/drop-down menus
- Very fast website speed
- Live betting odds (no need to refresh)
As for navigation, the helpful search bar at the top, drop-down menus, and extensive Research section make it easy to find the information you’re after, which is a big plus when using the site, bonuses, and other promotions.
FanDuel Sports Betting
FanDuel Sportsbook Betting Markets

The FanDuel sportsbook is rather small, only covering 21 sports and omitting a few key international favourites like greyhounds or Futsal. The line-up of coverage is definitely more focused on American leagues as well, so if you are a fan of international competitions, you might need to look elsewhere, unless it has a large international following (like the Premier League).
Finding the sports available is easy, thanks to the full list of options on the bottom of the home page. You can also scroll through the top side-scroller to see the most recent games coming up.
Taking a Closer Look at FanDuel Odds
FanDuel supports American, decimal, and fraction odds, and you can change between those options easily by clicking the odds display button right at the bottom of the page, making it easy to swap options without needing to go to your settings.
As for how competitive the odds are on FanDuel? To investigate, in our FanDuel reviews we looked at odds for the Sparta Prague vs. Liverpool game and calculated the overround (otherwise known as the house edge), then compared it to Bet365, which is known to have one of the fairest odds. We found the FanDuel overround to be 8.18%, which is far higher than Bet365’s 5.56%, but in the grand scheme of things is still less than 10%, and therefore classed as competitive.
From what we could tell looking through the promotions, there aren’t odds boosters to enhance your odds, either, so you’ll have to make do with the standard odds on offer.
FanDuel Sportsbook Test of Live Betting and Live Streaming Features
You can watch live streams of games, pre and post-match analyses, and even video podcasts on FanDuel TV+. You can watch this online, on AndroidTV, Roku, FireTV, or even AppleTV. All you need to watch content is to have a funded FanDuel account and to have placed a bet in the last 24 hours to watch live streaming content.
The issue with putting their TV+ on a separate section of their sportsbook, or through more traditional streaming services, is that it lacks live betting options on the same page. You can have two tabs up if you are on your desktop or laptop, or you can have the sportsbook up on your phone while you watch the stream on your TV, but you can’t do it on the same page, which greatly limited our ability to watch the game and bet on the go.
Regardless, you have everything you need in an easy-to-use bet slip. You’ll see all your different live betting options, from spreads, totals, moneylines, all the way to player props in one place. You can then easily track your bets as they are playing out, making it easy to identify a moment to cash out, if that’s part of your strategy.
FanDuel Sportsbook Ratings on Winning Limits
FanDuel has a maximum win limit per bet set at $1 million. This applies to all sports, straight bets, parlay, SGP, etc. In comparison to other sportsbooks, it isn’t the absolute highest option you’ll find, but it is up there, especially considering it covers more niche sports as well.
As for the minimum and maximum betting limits, the only concrete information we could find applied to Massachusetts, which states the bet minimum is $0.09 (the lowest of the sportsbooks we’ve reviewed) and the maximum bet at $5 million. Since the $1 million win cap applies here, however, you won’t want to bet that full amount, even if you are a high roller.
As for the other states, the limits aren’t published, though FanDuel does state it reserves the right to limit and cap wagers, so expect how much you can bet to be restricted based on your betting habits.
Summary of our Fanduel Sportsbook Review
All-in-all, we found FanDuel to be a very solid sportsbook for American bettors. Their betting options cater mostly to American leagues, but you also get live streaming, in play betting and promotions to keep your betting experience interesting. It isn’t the most competitive option around in terms of overround, but is still competitive enough that if the rest of the features win you over, such as the generous max payouts across all sports, there’s no reason not to check out FanDuel for yourself.

Our Final Thoughts on this FanDuel Sportsbook Review
In our FanDuel reviews we’ve gone through everything from the bonuses to the customer service all the way to even the payments, and overall find it to be a very solid sportsbook. You have many of the top features you would want to expand your betting experience, multiple payment options, and low minimum deposits. We conclude that FanDuel is a solid choice for all types of bettors, from the casual all the way to the frequent. All that’s left is your preferences, so check out the operator’s site today to see how well FanDuel supports your betting interests.
