DraftKings has a mobile app for iOS, with the DraftKings rating here being 2.7 stars, which is one of the lowest we’ve seen. The app itself also doesn’t seem to be commonly used, though it is available on the App Store. It’s noteworthy to mention that this app is only available for the fantasy sport side of the app, so while it’s technically available, it won’t be of use to sports bettors, which likely explains the little usage and average ratings.

On the other hand, on Android, the DraftKings sportsbook rating is 4.6 stars and can be downloaded from the Google Play store. The Android app, unlike the iOS one, does give you access to the sportsbook, so that’s the one we’re focussing on. It’s well designed, with every action very natural to do. You can make over 1000 different kinds of bets, accept bonuses, track progress, and do everything else which you can do on the desktop.

The app doesn’t seem to offer anything new, and some have complained about frequent crashes. Although we didn’t share that experience, we did find that the app is quite clunky overall. So know that the app option is there, but you might find you have a better experience with the mobile version of the site instead.

DraftKings accepts a large range of different payment options, which is on par with many other betting brands. To test out their customer service, we used the live chat. We found that we got a response from an agent within 10 minutes of contacting them, which is quite speedy and similar to other big brands. When we explored online, however, there were frequent complaints about their customer service team, so we surmise that while their customer service team is prompt to respond initially, they seem to be slow when it comes to solving customer issues.

On the plus side, the help centre is full of useful information, and we found that most of our questions were easily answered on the site.

VIP Program

DraftKings has a fairly comprehensive loyalty program. This is known as their Dynasty Rewards Program, and it consists of five separate tiers. Every DraftKings bettor is automatically signed up to it when they start, and you get points based on how much you wager on the sportsbook, Fantasy sports section, and the casino. Those points can be converted into DK Dollars, or used to buy items, tickets, and more at the Marketplace.

From the moment you go to their site, you immediately notice a difference to other bookies. For one, the main URL’s home page is about fantasy sports. You have to go to the drop-down menu to go to the sportsbook, which does detract from the experience for bettors. You’ll also notice that the home page doesn’t show any of the live sports or what you can do. You can get to those pages without logging in, but it takes a few clicks, and the navigation isn’t straightforward.

Once you do find the sportsbook page, everything starts to clear up. The layout is simple, with plenty of drop-down options to clear up the menus. There are ways to customise your experience, but you can’t do it from the sportsbook itself, and must instead go into your accounts. However, This method saves your preferences, allowing you to enjoy the same options even on new devices.

There is an extensive Help Centre section that does have a search function, but the search function isn’t available on the sportsbook, which requires more clicks than necessary.
